Dubai - 19 Dec

Hello,

Arrived on 19 Dec morning at 4.30am Dubai time. Reached home at bout 6 am after the nightmarish check-out at immigration. Weather was cold with strong wind. On went my new coat! Haha...
Saw some city lights and the sun was already rising by the time we reached home. Had breakfast of some sort and unpacked. Tried to settle down but was too tired to do anything else.
I don't remember much of the day but we went to our very first shopping spree at Mall of the Emirates (MOE) which is nothing compared to Pavillion. Humongous is the word we use a lot here. Nothing in moderation. Didn't concentrate on where we're going but it was a nice mall. Had lunch at Paul's. A very nice french restaurant cafe. Joined by Dev and Juliana; forgot to mentioned that they picked us up that morning from the airport. They have a Porsche Cayenne, super cool man! We
"just" have a BMW 3 Series. Haha.. planning to seat in both cars over the next few days.
They decided to stay up through the night as Jen and Kev will be arriving on 20 Dec morning, same time as us the previous day. All the best to them. Had a simple dinner, don't remember what though. Hehehe... Got a call from Dev and Juliana to meet them up for drinks.
We were just putting on our jeans when we were told to dress up. I mean, it's just drinks at a bar for goodness sake! Apparently, they do things differently here. They drive on the wrong side of the car and wrong side of the road for one thing already. Now for a 20 minutes drink we had to put on our best gear. We were already so tired by then as we didn't rest much during the day.
So, we changed to clubbing gear, all black with heels and dangly earrings and off we go. For one thing, the city lights are nice, all high rising buildings and all very bright. They light to play with lighting here. Burj is gorgeous at night by the way.
The club is called Bar 44, located at the 44th floor of Grovner House hotel. Super cool man as it's the highest floor.
By the way, we had Earl Grey tea! Hahaha... with tidbits of olives (super juicy and delicious) and mixed nuts. I have to tell you that the view from the top is great! The lounge singer is good too. It was Juliana's birthday the next day, so the lounge singer sang a very sexy birthday song. Never had that happening to me before.
We left about 1am, I think. I was already half dead with sleep by that time and they have to wake up to pick Jen and Kev up. We wanted to go too but couldn't wake up in time.
That's all till they arrive in 6 hours time. Tata...

It's christmas but i dont feel jolly

Ho Ho Ho
Yeah rite... having hangover from it
I could say this is one of the most boring christmas ever
Downright boring

While I busied myself with a bottle of Heineken and a jug of Sangria and Mojito, I felt lonely out of the sudden. And why is that? Everyone I see at the place I'm hanging out has a partner of their own....

ppft! bah~

What are you doing now?

What are you doing now?
I have tried to call but
maybe you didn't hear the ringing

What are you doing now?
Are you enjoying yourself
until you forgot to reply my message?

What are you doing now?
All I did, was to asked you
to update me on your trip

What are you doing now?
Having another BBQ?
Enjoying the scenery?
Busy shopping?
Busy sight-seeing?
Drinking your heart out?

What are you doing now?
I'm still waiting for something
Tomorrow is Christmas eve
And the day after tomorrow is Christmas day

What are you doing now?
Will Santa drop by and give me a visit tomorrow night?
He would usually ask "Have you been a good boy?"
What should I tell him?

Friends with benefits

Aku punya teman
Teman sepermainan
Dimana ada dia selalu ada aku

Dia memang manis
Dan juga baik hati
Dan dia slalu ada waktu
Untuk membantuku

Namun aku bingung
Ketika dia bilang cinta
Dan dia juga katakan
Tuk ingin jadi kekasihku

Cukuplah saja berteman denganku
Janganlah kau meminta lebih
Kutak mungkin mencintaimu
Kita berteman saja
Teman tapi mesra

Aku memang suka pada dirimu
Namun aku ada yang punya
Lebih baik kita berteman
Kita berteman saja
Teman tapi mesra

After a loonng hiatus

Damn... it's been nine months since my last post. I just have nothing to blog or post about after the arrival of Dookie (Piper's son) and moving house to Bandar Utama in July. Everything is messed up from housemates and work. Lemme recall what had happened in the last 9 months.

After moving house from Puchong to Bandar Utama, the traffic from my house to KL Sentral is considerably shorter than of Puchong to KL Sentral. I even bought a Prosumer camera for my birthday, Canon S3IS. Not even two months down the road, I've sold it and opted for a DSLR because it can do what I want when the S3IS cant do it.

Nothing much happened apart from that. Been goin places and shooting portraits for people since then. And now I'm getting itchy to get a Macro lens after I get to play with a Tamron SP90 macro lens. You'll be amazed by the level of details when you get as near as possible to your subject.

That aside, I've attended to 3 marriages; Tim and MaryAnne, Ahleong and Shirley and then Colin and JooNa which was held earlier this month. Indirectly, me and another 2 more photographers became Ahleong's Cannon Fodder in his pursuit to get his wife and bring her home. Man... eating chilis spreaded on few loafs of bread is not a nice thing to eat and drinking beer through multiple straws is another thing. For Tim and MaryAnne's, I became their videographer and as a normal wedding attendee for Colin's wedding. My colleague is getting married this September and Yew Hang is getting married in January. Not to forget, Teddy is getting married at the end of August. So many weddings to attend and as usual, questions will be asked around; when are you getting married, who's hanging out with who now, etc.

That's all for now. I think I need a long vacation off to somewhere else, not in malaysia though. I'm thinking of France or Puerto Rico. LoL, yeah i'm dreaming about it
